Individuals, organizations, and networks should come together as a movement to harness the power of change and create a better future for girls worldwide.
Brown Girl Woke is a resilient group of women who are leading initiatives to empower the younger generation in communities across borders. We work from Apia in the Pacific Island of Samoa to the United States of America and have created an international presence in the pursuit of aspiring, educating and empowering other young females.
Our initiatives have proven to create more productive and healthy communities. Girls in underprivileged and underrepresented minority communities are brought together to participate in programs curated to help them level-up. Examples of self-development and growth include teamwork, self-esteem, goal setting, decision-making, creating/sustaining meaningful relationships, and living healthy lives.
